We went to the Tempe Marketplace splash pad today and I was excited for Max to wear his awesome new swim shorts. I love them!!! Very stylish don’t you think?
He was totally dancing to the loud music that was playing. :D

One thing I was really looking forward to when I finished student teaching was baking. I missed doing it so much. I remember wanted to so bad, but there was no way that I would have time. Now that I’m home again, I’ve been back to doing it. It’s so fun! I recently made this strawberry pie. Strawberries are on sale for 88 cents at our store. How could I not make one?! We loved it. It was delicious! I also made one for Mike to take to work today. We’ll see how they like it :)
Anyway, in the past I made a really good berry pie with a perfect crust, but was never able to get the crust just right after that. I made several other pies and was really bummed at the end result because of the crust. It’s the hardest part! This time I’ve got it down! I’ve made this pie twice now, so I think I’ve mastered the crust. More pies to come! Any suggestions?
We had a really fun and relaxed weekend with the Marshalls for Mike’s birthday. We loved hanging out with the whole gang! We did lots of fun stuff together.
Naomi ditched school and we went and had some pizza (jk! we just pulled her out early)
We went to a comedy show on Friday night. SO fun!
We went to Naomi’s softball game which was fun. Max had a good view from the tree ;) I’m sad that I didn’t take any pictures of Naomi though :(
The Marshall boys.
Happy birthday, Daddy!
“Let me help you with that, Daddy.”
Beautiful gals!
“Excuse me, we’re trying to play the piano here.”
We went to the park and tried out Mike’s new kite that Maxine gave him.
Later we had Jimmy’s famous milk shakes.
“Mo pease?!”
One of our favorite things to do is go to the park and feed the ducks. This time we were really excited to see a mommy duck with her babies.
Last week the zoo water park opened for the summer. Cami invited us to go and it was a ton of fun. I’m not really looking forward to the Phoenix heat, but I’m excited for Max to be able to play in the water and learn how to swim.
Yummy pear!
