Max's Quilt

I've completed my very first quilt for our baby boy. I made sure to choose a very simple one without complicated squares. My sister helped me pick out the fabric and my mom helped me with the border. Max doesn't really have a specific theme for his room but I really like these colors together. I like the thought of adding some jungle animals. Any suggestions?

Sheilia and Me

It's been really fun going through this pregnancy with my cousin Sheilia. She is due only 3 weeks after me and we're both having boys! Hopefully they will be really close. She came to my shower this last weekend and I'm going to hers this coming weekend. Soin took a few pictures of us and here they are! My belly is pointy and her's is perfectly round!!!

Baby Shower # 1

My beautiful mom and sister threw me an amazing baby shower at the Mission Inn in Riverside. It was more than I ever expected it would be. Thank you so much Mom and Soin! I love you so much!

This was the best game. Everyone was split into teams and had to cut out our features to make a picture of what our baby is going to look like. I hope our baby looks that good!

Many of my family members were there to support me. All of them are so special to me and they have no idea how much their presence meant to me. I love them all so much!

My young gals were there to support me. Naomi was actually supporting Max, as you can see! :) Oh, and there I am talking to my baby daddy.

Three very special ladies in my life: Kami, Abby-girl, and Olivia... always there to support me and show their love. I love them so much!

I am so blessed to have such wonderful Aunts and such an awesome grandma for my son. I love them! Can you believe there's a grandma in this picture? I hope I look that good when I'm a grandma! :)

Baby Shower # 2

Kelli & Emily threw me a baby shower and it was awesome!

The food was amazing. My favorite part: the dulce de leche bars!!! Soooooo good!

It was small but perfect! Kelly and Emily did such a great job and I'm so grateful for them. The games were really fun and it was nice hanging out with some ladies from the ward. I'm so glad that my mom, sister, and my cousin Sheilia were able to be there too.

My Crazy Dream!

I have this fear of crocodiles and alligators and for some reason I always have nightmares about them. One time I had a dream that my sister fell into a swamp and a crocodile swallowed her whole. I was so upset, so I dove into the swamp and pulled the crocodile onto a big rock and cut it open and pulled my sister out. Another time I had a dream that Michael and I were on this raft thing that had a motor and we were going as fast as we could, trying to get away from these alligators that kept trying to jump on our raft....yes I said "jump." haha! Michael kept having to punch them and kept them off the raft.



Anyway, last night I had a dream that my mom, my sister, and I were walking alongside this shallow river and there were crocodiles that kept getting smaller and smaller as we walked along, and then I realized that they were crocodiles with human baby heads! There were hundreds of them! So I was like, "aw, how cute!" And I jumped in the river and started swimming with them, but they kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller.....until they were the size of ants!!! So I started to walk out of the river and two of them bit and latched onto my foot like little ticks and it hurt so bad that I screamed bloody murder! My foot started to swell so much as my sister was trying to dig them out. Finally she got them out and my foot was all better. :p I know! I'm crazy! I think I have this whole pregnancy thing to blame though...



I called Michael at work and told him about it and he made me a picture of the crocodile baby in my dream! haha!

My sister came to visit us this weekend and we had a little photo shoot in our living room. It was fun! Here are some of the good ones!

Our son at 25 weeks!

So we had our 25 week ultrasound appointment today and it went really well. The Dr. said that he looks nice and healthy. He also said that I'm right on track with my weight gain which made me extra happy! :) Mike and I can't wait to hold our little boy in our arms. We love him so much already!

Mother's Day

While we were shopping this weekend, Michael bought me this dress for Mother's Day. I love it!

We also bought a Wii yesterday as our Mother's and Father's Day gift to each other. We got Mario Kart to go with it! Anyone else have it and want to challenge us to a race online?

Music for Baby

The other day, Mike's alarm clock woke up the baby. He started kicking which woke me up! So I figure since he can hear now, I should probably give him some more relaxing sounds. Especially since last couple of weekends he's been listening to loud hip hop! Today, he listened to Mozart. :)

Happy 25th Birthday, My Love!

We started off the evening a delicious birthday dinner with Terrence and Rachel at a really good Cuban restaurant. Then we came home and sang happy birthday to Mike. We had some chocolate cake with extra chocolate chunks and chocolate frosting...served with triple chocolate ice cream. Yum! Mike got new shoes! Can you tell he likes them?

As you all may know, Jennifer Lopez just recently had twins. Well she decided to name her boy Maximilian!!! How dare she?! It's okay...we still love the name and are considering it. I must say she has a good taste in names! :)
