Christmas Day

We woke up to this load of presents... I guess this is what happens when you have six kids and a grandbaby! I think we will stick to having 2 or 3 ;)

Christmas Eve in the Snow

We went to Idllewild to see my Aunt Tillie and cousins in the cabin they were staying in. It made our Christmas feel more like Christmas! Mike had a snow ball fight with my cousins Diego and Niko. We had hot cocoa and tamales... yummy! Later that night, Jeff made a delicious dinner, we watched a great movie called Namesake, and then opened presents. It was so fun... the best Christmas Eve yet.

My Incredible Savings

I just wanted to let everyone know about my incredible savings I had at the grocery store. I've been using coupons ever since I heard about how much money you can save if you use them right (thanks Rachel!). I know this is a silly thing to blog about but I'm just so proud of it!!
I paid about $44.35 for $115.95 worth of groceries. So awesome!!!

I also bought 8 packages of diapers for $44.92. They were worth $95.92! Yay!

Reaching

My baby is reaching and playing with his toys now! I'm so proud.

He did it!!!

Max Slept through the night last night! I've been working on getting him to sleep through the night for a couple of weeks now and finally my lovely mother-in-law told me what she did with her five children at 8 weeks and I decided to do the same. It worked! We're so proud of our boy!

Tub Time with Daddy

Max just loves taking baths with Daddy! When he's fussy, we just put him in the bath tub and he's happy again. He's definitely gonna be a little water boy... especially when Mommy starts giving him swim lessons!

HALLOWEEN

We went to the Milton/Thorson Halloween party. It was fun! Great food! :) Max was a football, Mike a football player, and I was a cheerleader. Mike designed Max's costume and I sewed it all together. It came out pretty good! He loved wearing it.

Reading with Tia Soin

My sister bought me this poem book before I was even pregnant. She said it was for when we have a baby. Little did she know she would have a nephew 10 months later. The other day she sat with Max and read him poems for at least a half hour. He loved it! He seemed so intrigued. He loves his Tia Soin.

Great Deal!

This past weekend we went to a thrift store to look for our halloween costumes and I found a boppy for $4. Yay! I've been wanting one but didn't want to spend the $. It was a little dirty so I had to wash it. I bought a really cute slip cover at Target and now it's perfect! Max seems to really like it too! :)

Sunday with friends

A couple of Sundays ago, we went to the Thorson's/Barnes' for dinner. It was really fun! We ate some yummy food and played a game. Then we just hung out...
Mia already loves Max. She's so gentle with him!
Kelli with Max
Adorable little SofiaI braided Kelli's hair... we were there for a long time! :)

Before Max was born, Mike and I saw a video in our child birth class that shows how babies this young can imitate their parent's expressions. So I've been working with Max to stick out his tongue and he's obviously mastered the skill.

Liz and Jimmy

They came for the weekend to visit their nephew. It was a lot of fun! They are already such a good aunt and uncle to Max. He loves them so much! Saturday night we went to the drive in and on Sunday we had a picnic in the park. The weather was so nice that Max enjoyed a peacful nap on the picnic blanket.

Uncle Jimmy!!!

He loves his Aunt Liz!
